Delete your FlexRides account

This applies to both the FlexRides app for riders and the FlexRides Driver app. If you use both apps with the same phone number, they share one account, and deleting it removes it from both.

Before you delete: if you want a copy of your trips and receipts, ask for it first under Account, Settings, Privacy and data. It cannot be produced after the account is deleted.

In the app (quickest)

  1. Open AccountThe last tab at the bottom of the app.
  2. Go to Settings, then Privacy and data
  3. Tap "Delete account…"Read what will be removed, then confirm with "Delete my account".

Without the app

Email privacy@flexrides.ca from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone number you signed up with. We confirm it is you, then delete the account within 30 days.

What happens next

  • You are signed out on every phone straight away, and the account can no longer be used.
  • We delete your personal information within 30 days.
  • Unused promotions and credits are lost. Drivers receive any earnings still owed at the next weekly payout.
  • Deletion cannot be undone. To ride or drive again, create a new account.

What we delete

  • Your name, phone number and email
  • Your profile photo
  • Saved places and emergency contacts
  • Your sign-in and notification links on every phone

What we keep, and for how long

The law requires us to keep some records after an account is deleted:

  • Trips, payments and receipts: 7 years, for tax and financial records.
  • Driver licence, background check and vehicle records: 2 years after you stop driving, as the City of Fredericton requires.
  • Safety reports and support cases: until resolved and any legal claim period has passed.
  • Backups: deleted information leaves our backups within 35 days.

We may delay deletion while there is an unpaid balance, or while a safety investigation, insurance claim or legal case involving the account is open, and we keep what is needed to stop banned accounts from returning. Deleting your account signs you out everywhere and cannot be undone. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
